Here is a schwinn Paramount. Looks like it might be a good deal. It's north of Dallas Texas.

Woah, boy! That ad gave me a start. It's Garland, but not in my state. I just happen to live in what's called Garland . I thought I was going to have to drain the ATM for a moment there!

I'm sure some of our resident Paramount experts will chime in, but I do know that until some time in the 80's Paramounts were hand built at the Waterford shop - top quality workmanship and materials.

I think there's a thread somewhere out there asking the question "Why should I want a Paramount?". All I know is that the guys I roomed with in college each had one and I'd like to be able to own one too.

Oh shoot look at this, a cheap Falcon frame. I'll bet the seller would give it to a BF C&V'er for free if they came to pick it up.

https://bn.craigslist.org/bik/3530383450.html

This frame is taking up room in my garage and isn't going to get built by me. It's a Falcon, I believe it's a San Remo since it had Campy Record but I'm not sure. Reynolds 531 steel with a really nice looking Cinelli style fork and some spiffy lugwork. The frame is late 60's in my best guess since there are no braze ons. It's a 56cm. It does need repainted and the decals are in bad shape. Would be a really good restoration project or would make a good base for a fixed gear winter project. Open to trades, I really just want it gone.

I am not a Trek devotee so I don't know if these early aluminum models are collectable or not, but the Dura-Ace group might have a broader appeal:

They're totally salvageable. The price is full retail though. I'd definitely bargain with the seller. The both of them should restore fairly simply.

Very tempting, size pending, but I need another entry/mid level racer like I need more black heels.

3 wheel Schwinn trike - $60

https://stlouis.craigslist.org/bik/3533481073.html

I have a Schwinn 3 wheel (tricycle) for adults with a basket in the rear. Left by one of my tenants after moving out I believe that the rear wheel sprockets and crank shaft have to be repaired. You can see it M-F at 6 p.m.
Call Devon for an appointment.

Another couple reasons they are sublime is women helped build them; One was on the cover of an old 'Bicycling' attaching a brake bridge, I think. Also, the stays and fork blades AFAIK aren't butted; mine aren't, and when circumstances permit I watch the fork soaking up bumps.

I'll add really interesting wheels I don't care to bid on and pray someone else outspends on:

I agree interesting wheels but they seem to have alot of miles on them, then again how often do you see these hubs? Anyone know is the threades side for a disc/drum brake?

Well, with 40 spokes and those big solid flanges, they sure LOOK like tandem wheels. I'd be willing to bet that it is indeed intended for a drag brake. But I didn't know Campy made tandem hubs...
