Master Link Question

Hi,

This is my first post here in C & V, since search has done me right so far with all of my restoration project questions. Anyway, I want to recondition the chain. Obviously I need to get it off the bike first, so I was wondering if anybody on BF had any knowledge about how to get this thing off:

The bike in question is a 1962 (if the S-A hub is the original) Phillips.

You can open the master link by sliding the clip off (apply a flat blade screwdriver to the "v" notch).

If the rest of the chain looks like the master link put a new chain on the bike. Roger
