Ritchey WCS Stem- Titanium?

This stem came on my 87 Paramount. It was too short for me, so I swapped out. One person told me that it looked like titanium. Is that possibly true? If so, what it might be worth?

The bike has a Ti bottom bracket, skinny cranks, and other weight saving features, so it would not be completely out of character for this to be Ti.

The welds are too small and the material in the clamp too thin to be aluminum. Try a magnet. Titanium is virtually non-magnetic. There may some very weak reaction due to trace iron. If you get a strong attraction, it's steel with a titanium finish.

I grabbed a magnet and checked. It is magnetic. Stronger on the down tube than on the top tube.

And it has writing on tube:

NITTO JAPAN
HEAT TREATED
0.Z
26.0

So some type of heat treated steel?
