Bowery Lane bikes, anyone?

They look good, claims to be made in US, vintage style.
Anyone ridden one?

Wheelbase too long, bottom bracket too high. Geometry looks more like an American, diamond-frame middleweight then an English machine.

I'd expect geometry similar to a full-touring bike on a English clone - not this.

P.S.: The Bronx Raw is a disaster waiting to happen.

Onslo,
Thanks.
That Sears puch was maybe mine, except I still have the rear wheel from it. $200 counting gas for that one. I guess I'm still in sticker shock about what these plain 3 speeds are up to. Last one I got in a thrift store was $25.

Kurt, what would be the down side of a longer wheelbase? I always thought the Sports were a tad short. The BB doesn't seem any higher than a sport, but I'm just comparing photos.

Thanks guys for humoring me.

I recently picked up a 1970's PUCH 3-spd. here in Vermont. It was branded PUCH though - not SEARS. They are excellent. Just finished restoring mine.

kurt does have a point the bb being high prevents you from putting a foot down while in the saddle (traditional test of a brit utility bike)

also the trail on that bike seems to be lacking grossly which means the bike won't handle well with a load on the front if you steer past a point the bike will collapse over on you
