New project - 94 allez

so i recently purchased this frame for something to work on over the next couple of months. i am looking to repaint it and will most likely build it up with some more modern parts. any ideas on a paint scheme? i am not really looking to restore it because i already have one in great shape.

How about something really different? Powder-coat it Candy Metallic Purple with a brown Brooks Swallow and Velo Orange Elkhide bar wrap shellacked to match.. Re-do the graphics with "Specialized" "Allez" in a different script (Not sure which to suggest)

Bikes: Motobecane Mirage fixed gear, Nashbar Alpha Road 5000, Bianchi Grizzly, Coppi Fiorelli, , Schwinn Trike, , GT All Terra, Old Peugeot, Nishiki 3 speed, Bugatti, Cannondale Black Lightning, Dura All, Bianchi Touring, Bridgestone T700 & more

Just built one just like that for a kid at work as a going away to college present. Lovely frame...I love the seat cluster and sharp thin lugs. Very light too!

I'd paint it pearl white...Black graphics, polished alloy components and a black Concor Profile saddle.

P.S. If anyone has one in a 50-52cm PM me...I'd give my left pinky for one!

I was thinking a lighter shade.. closer to lavender but not quite that light and metallic candy.

Huh, I just sold one of these and I thought it was a lot newer than '94. You are lucky to have two, the bike rode like a demon and it was super light too. Mine had an 8-speed Campy setup on it....nice bikes.
