Any idea? No logo on top. Just the etched cinelli "C".

Looks like a 1A, with the new logo.

That's what I thought, the lack of the cinelli logo on top had me wondering. Possibly it has worn off?

Yes, I believe it's a post 1991 1A. I noticed the big C logo went away at about that time.

It's a 1E. That's why the bolt that tightens the handlebars is in the front. See how the 1A is different:

It also looks like those are 26.0 bars in a 26.4 stem.

Yep, I think your bolt is bottoming out. Cinelli bolts wil definitely bottom out before they twist in half and break.

Just the opposite of Campy seatpost binder bolts.

They may be 26.0 bars, I will check tonight. At least they have never slipped on me.

It appears the hidden clamp bolt of the 1R stem I have, is slightly stripped - it feels like the allen wrench doesn't want to fully seat/engage. Is that bolt cinelli specific, hard to find and replace?

You can drill it out and retap. It'll take a slightly larger bolt. Any machine shop can do this in a few minutes.

bar is 26.4, I guess the photo made the clamp gap look more closed than it was.
