I was thinking that I would have to take extra care of the cable guide area to avoid the sweat corosion in there.

Thanks for the kudos, it really is better looking in person.

If George Clinton rode a race bike, that would be it. And I mean that in the best possible way.

Nice! I vote DA 7400, but you can't go wrong with Superbe. For the lipstick pink/gray metallic fade version of your bike, see:

You can find some of my other Zunows in my flickr sets.
Cheers,
Dave

Dave, that looks to be the same model as mine. Is there a way to figure out the manufacturing date on the frame? I can't find a serial number. I was told it was purchased around 1990 from a shop in Sacramento (aka 'Sacramende').

Nice quick Zunow bio. I am surprised about how little data can be found about this company and frames seeing they have been about for 50 years.

F'n awesome, man. Eerily enough, Tobias's nevernude shorts would compliment the era that frame's color conjures just perfectly. Beautiful. I love the panto.s on the BB shell and the brake bridge. mm-mm-mm.

My personal vote would be for a white or crazy-colored saddle. The black is slowing that thing down!

I hear you loud and clear. I have a NOS Turbo white saddle on it and I put a chamois in my cutoff jeans. Ready to roll.

+1. It is almost unbelievable how this frame is truly stuffed with structural, design, and decorative detail
I'd be afraid to ride it - and I've never said that before 'cause I feel it is sacrilege to not ride a bike no matter how nice... Did you die and somehow find a channel to post these photos from the afterlife to torture us stuck on this side of the mortal coil?

Anyway, never mind. You must be one happy and proud puppy.

Wowowowow! Love your Zunow! I've always wanted one... maybe not one so loud, but I am envious that you've found one in such pristine condition, even the decals are perfect! What a find!

I barely ever see them here. But if you're in Japan and you see all these lonely 61cm Zunows sitting around for lack of 6'3" gents to ride them, please let me know...

It's unfortunate that SunTour never made a Chroma version of one of their road groups. This bicycle is crying for one.

I'm not good at English read & write.I hope you can understand what I mean...

61cm frame is very large for Japanese.
I hardly seen this size frame,Japanese popular size about 51 to 57cm.
and what's more,Zunow's frame is handmade, production has very small.
therefore,Zunow's large frame is very rare.

But sought out large frame(60cm) from Internet auction in Japan.
https://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w40640603
highest bid price:41500yen($454).
condition:some scratch spot etc
component:Shimano DuraAce

Best color graphics...Um...
I think that Zunow don't have brand color(for example gios=blue bianch=celeste)
It may be an improper expression,Blue!(It's my bike color!)
and,Zunow have not making lug model frame now(selling only aluminium & carbon model).
Zunow's progenitor & frame builder...Mr,Kageyama,
He retired the other day.I don't know current frame builder.

I'm very sorry my bad english....more study hard...
