I know this isn't strictly C&V anymore, but I wanted to post a few pictures and thank a couple of C&Vers. Thanks to Richard (23skiddoo) for the front derailleur trade, Evan (fastev) for the fork and headset at a steal, and a huge HUGE HUGE thank you to Victor (vjp) for the very elusive Cyclops decals.
It's 7 speed Shimano 600 with an Ultegra/Open Pro wheel set. Some day when I happen upon the right head set and seat post, I'll put the original fork on and get it more c&v, but I'm quite happy with the ride like this and in no particular hurry. This was my first time putting on decals and the only one that I majorly bungled is hidden behind the bottle cage (didn't quite account for the bottle boss and things went a bit pear shaped).

My goal...
Long have I lusted for a Cyclops. They are indeed Canadian built and very nice bicycles. You are very fortunate to have the bike (but you already know that, I'm sure). Nice build.

Things have been a bit too wet for me to take it out for a real ride in this configuration (also it's my soccer season and I have to take it a easy on the weekends since I have games on Monday nights). I've just done a shakedown ride, but I'm loving it so far. The decals definitely make it go faster.
