The seller needed more coin for booze. Buyer needed a nice 10 speed. They came to a fair agreement. Everyone is happy. End of conversation.

On a somewhat related note, there is a bum in town who rides a nice Kool-Yello Sports Tourer in my size. I have often considered offering him $20 for his bike.

I see it all the time up in montreal. Some ppl buy 'em off the street and then post 'em on craigslist - hopeing that the owner will precisely describe their stolen good and then they're given the chance to buy it back for the paied amount. And if that doesn't happen, they keep it and have better conscious - at least they can't say they didn't try. Even that scenario is debatable.
