ARRRRRGGGGGG!!!!! No camera, but a story: Today, a voice behind me (on the MUP) says, "Like the shirt!" As the guy rides by, I noticed the interesting bends on all the rear geometry of his bike. A mile or so later, we are both at the crossing, and I ask him about the bike. Told me it was a "Sevens" made in Massachusetts. Seven Cycles - U.S. Built Custom Bicycles in Titanium and Titanium-Carbon Mix Looking at the site, it was a titanium gravel bike.

Same story here, no pics, at the top of Mt. Tabor (large hill, city park). Saw a very tricked out Crust Evasion gravel, upright, city bike, disc brakes, 1X, with the biggest cassette I think I have ever seen, probably 52. Hate to admit it was pretty cool, doubt there is anywhere you couldn't go on it.
Parked next to it was a very cool Moustache custom, not one of the mass produced ones. This one is built in Arizona by Richard May, I didn't look very close overall but it was very nice and you didn't have to look hard to see it. The owner got it from a women who decided it was too small for her. Then he starts talking about a "pink" custom frame at city bikes that he was thinking about buying. He had made an offer that was accepted but he was dragging his feet. I told him I had seen it when they got and it was a Bilenky and he should close the deal sooner rather than later, he's going there tomorrow. ;) |
I seldom/rarely find another of the same make/model to park next to, so I figured it worthy of a shot, even with an absolutely awful 2MB flip-phone "camera". Mine's the white '90, the other is an early '92.

I’ve been noticing this little Super Course MKII sitting by itself downtown lately. Nice Huret Jubilee upgrade on the rear. It’s a little dirty from use but I’m enjoying seeing it on my way into work each weekday.

Grocery Store Araya
Locked up beside this Araya at the grocery store the other day. I like the way this rider configured his bike. It is in a manner I'd do for myself. That crank dustcap is ready for retirement.

As I pulled into work today, I saw a sight I have not seen since the before times -- another bike on the bike rack. I imagine this must be how Robinson Crusoe felt upon spotting a footprint in the sand. Now I must locate this other cyclist and make him my domestic servant.

My bike is the one in the background. Please tell us this lot is locked, secure with armed guard's, razor ribbon, slobbering attack dogs and Defcon level surveilance. I wouldn't be able to do any work with a Masi out in the open no matter what. :twitchy: |

I was always lucky at the hospital, we had metal closets when I went there, then a pretty secure cage and I got a Dr's seriously secure locker soon after that. Always told my Manager who had been a cyclist and was a really good guy that I wasn't coming there if I couldn't ride one of my good bikes and be sure it was safe while I was there. We had 11 bikes stolen in 3 years before the cage that we know of, cut cables and whimpy locks mostly but still with regular patrols and plenty of other foot traffic, you would think it to be more safe, no way in H**L. :troll: |

Waiting for the train today in Beaverton I noticed a small 78 Univega Gran Rally with silver fenders. Was it Velocivixen ? It spotted it immediately as I have been working on the exact bike lately. Mine's a bit larger tho.

Was out shopping for tall bikes and saw this thing offered at a yard sale. Never heard of this brand before. Had Araya VP series single walls and Exage 300 for cranks. Tange PG MTB Tubes. Could have bought it for maybe $15-20. But, what to do with it. Way too small.
