they must be very early. record or chorus. by 1995 most of the Campagnolo parts were sporting names again. they look to be in great shape

1993, maybe into 1994. The levers in those early years were shared by the Record, Chorus, and Athena groups. They are distinguishable from the '92s by the grooves.

OP's levers have inked Campagnolo shields, as opposed to the engraved ones on that Chorus lever. Likewise, the black section of the lever body is aluminum with a gloss black finish on the OP's, as opposed to satin black plastic on yours.
This said - if the catalog photos are reliable, the '93s are shown to have inked/laser (how did they do them, anyway?) shield logos, and the '94s are engraved. That pegs SteveJ's set as '94 Chorus, but it backdates the OP's set to '93 Record/Chorus/Athena, as paulkal indicated.
If the side-script "Campagnolo" hoods shown in the catalog made it to production, the hoods on the OP's set have possibly been replaced, or Campagnolo changed them to the shield logo sometime during the year.

My 1992 and 1994 Record ergopower came with the side-script logo. The 1995 ergopower (Record) has the shield logo.

For reference here are some 92's, shared by the Chorus and Record Groups.
Smooth front. Hoods with Campagnolo script.

Edit: Great
no thumbnails.
But if you click on them they are some good pics.
