What the heck is a Marco!?

I was poking around on CL and found this ad: https://salem.craigslist.org/bik/1610022953.html

I've searched around but I can't find anything, other than Selle San Marco saddles, that comes up for "Marco".

I can't tell much from the shots except that the shift levers look to be headset based, which typically isn't a good sign for a quality bike. Other than that, the owner knows nothing about bikes, so he is no help.

If it wasn't 45 minutes away, I'd consider going to look at it just for the sake of curiosity.
