Raleigh GP Bottom Bracket

I tried searching... but the search feature seems to kinda be lacking.

Anyways, I have a 1978 Raleigh Grand Prix. I understand some of the older Raleighs use a proprietary threading. Is there an easy way I can tell if the bottom bracket uses this proprietary threading?

If you have a cotterless crankset you don't have the Raleigh threading. If your bike was made somewhere other than England, you don't have the Raleigh threading. If the BB is less than 70 mm in width, you don't have the Raleigh threading.

It's cottered, right? I think I have a bottom bracket for you, in good condition, if you want to stay cottered.

Whoa, sorry to burst this bubble, but this is not correct.

Late Raleigh (Nottingham) GP's were cotterless and Raleigh threaded. So were late Canadian GP's.

I have, and have removed/repaired/serviced both. Nothing Raleigh is ever simple.
