Colnago and a bottom bracket question

hi folks,
this may be a dumb question but is my early 90's Colnago Master Olympic an Italian bottom bracket? Reason i ask is i want to upgrade the 8 speed campy get to 9 speed dura ace. Currently have standard square tapered bottom bracket which is a generic one and i can't see anything on it that tells me either way. I'm a bit clueless in this area.
Looking to buy a complete dura ace 7700 9 speed set up and want to know if it will fit my frame.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Steve

I'd bet the farm it's Italian but if you've got an English bb lying around, it'll slide right through an Italian bb shell.

Ii'm not sure if we have the same year, but I currently have a 95' Colnago Master Olympic and it is Italian threaded.

the quick check is to measure the width of the shell, edge-to-edge: you should get either 68mm (British, in this case, FR or Swiss if it was a different bike) or 70mm (Italian).
I don't know about Colnago, but around this period (mid 90s) some of the Italian makes were switching to BSC threaded BBs, so it pays to check carefully.
