Even I'm surprised by this one.

I watched it close. During the last 30 or so seconds the price jumped from $1650 to it's final $2560. I blinked and it jumped almost $1000! Kurt you need to track down the winner and add this frameset to the database/registry.

I didn't bid because the headset was not included

What was the original buy-it-now price?

Add to the registry? There's a major opportunity here. We can find Schwinn approved parts, and mail him offers for 10% off the Bicycle Heaven everyday price. This could be a serious gold mine

What makes this frame especially rare is the fact that it has the "Sprint" seat tube, which is what makes it so totally rad. It is my understanding that Schwinn only offered the Sprint seat tube for a couple of years in the early to mid seventies.
Must have been...

Man, $2560 for a Schwinn with a bent fork...

Seriously though, I was thinking it was going to go for $1500-2000. I'd love to see it built up.

If someone knows how to preserve the ebay listing and photos for posterity, it might be a good idea to post them here. Otherwise, once the listing expires, this thread will be be pretty much gibberish.

...as I just did.

Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

So it has a bent seat tube.....what if it rides like crap.....
I'd rather buy the even quirkier Supervitus 980 tubed Mecacycle Turbo frameset with the forked seat tube(s) instead, for so much less!...plus it's French too!

Lots of fake/false/whatever invalid bids around at the Moment, or so it seems

This one
https://cgi.ebay.ch/BOTTECCHIA-COLUMB...item439ead545b

sold for around 1700$ a couple of weeks ago and had me scratching my head. Seems the high bidder was high or so... (see comments, not affiliated to seller other than living close to him :-))
