Congratulations!!!!!
I've owned these off and on for a while. They are superb to ride in every way, well at least my Sintesi is for me.
I had yours on my watch list. I sold a Super Prestige frameset two months ago to a buddy and it was drop dead perfect. Your new bike looks just as clean from the pics.
I can't imagine you'll be anything less than impressed upon receipt.
Please post "many" pics when you are ready.

I pm'ed the seller about shipping before the auction ended, kind of grovelled, and he said he would work w/me. Real bikie guy - after the auction, he gave me the name of the LBS that services his stuff, I called them, gave them CC for packing ($50), got their address so that I can have a shipper pick it up, got that all cleared w/the LBS owner. So seller just has to drop the bike off at LBS, wipe his hands of it. And the LBS owner told me it was a beautiful condition bike as well...
As for the consolidation, that bike is the consolidation of a whole bunch of shelves of new and used parts that have been fed to the ebay bulldog. I'm figuring I can take this one to Japan not as a bike and thereby straining my limit, but as household decor.

I bought this Tommasini Diamante today. Sorry, no pics of my own that I can post here yet.
It's only a bad thing if you bought it then neutered and killed the kitten.

And you didn't tell me about it? I thought we were friends.
Hell - I could have driven down for it, and taken the family with me for a Disney vacation or something.

Be comforted, my child. While you have sinned, your admittance of the sin indicates a repentant heart.
As penance for your sins I admonish you to utter three "Hail Marys" and two "Our Fathers." And, in order to prevent you from further sin, just go ahead and send the bike to me.

That is a bike that should spend equal time on the road and hanging above your mantel. Congrats on the acquisition.

And if I ever get disatisfied w/the Mavic group (I don't know a whole lot about this stuff) I have a NOS Campy Croce d'Aune group (C-Record crankset, though) to put on it. However, the Mavic stuff looks a little more exotic, goes along with the MS frame, which I can't wait to test out.

The opportunities for friendship and business are endless!
My wife, the boys, and I truly enjoyed our vacation to San Francisco and Monterey a couple of summers ago.
Don't be surprised if we show up on you doorstep one of these days.

Bikes: Mostly English - predominantly Raleighs
Nice looking bike - even if it is a little too large
btw - that merits three "bad"s. Mine deserved two, and yours surpasses mine by a little bit.

Too large for you? I adore the look, clearly the late 80's/early 90's Miami Vice deal, but not completely ramped up to the full purple and yellow monty.
And what was your two bads?
The other thing I'm curious about - looking through old Columbus catalogs, they say the MS tubing is for a "precise riding style". Anyone got any insight into what that means and what are the ramifications of an imprecise riding style?
