Update from "Looking to get this"

Originally in the app thread....yep got it-yep wrenched it. Frankinmercier/awaiting work on orig wheels and pedals, but 85% there. Loner wheels on it for now to test. Some stuff needed replacement/the stem had to go for fit purposes/and some for function. Anyway.....Tada:

WOW! What a transformation, with beautiful results. I love the buttery yellow colour. Is that still the original paint?!?

No, except where I left the downtube decal. WAS white but had an ozone coating of brown rust. Tried to get thru to save the paint-but no go. The frame is very sound. The orig HF hubs will look better on it when done. They are what first caught my eye. Unfortunately the foil hd badge tore while trying to remove....anyone reading-I'm on the lookout for one. (lol)
Thanks for the cudo's

Okay whew, I didn't know what was going on there. Anyway great restoration and colour choice. Have you tried Cyclomondo for the decals?

Not wanting decals/or maybe the frame material one-but there is no way to know what it looked like; other than a retangular shape. I guess I wouldn't call it restored-frankenbiked would be more correct. I changed out the fd/bars and stem/wheels/seatpost/saddle/calipers-levers/and shift levers. Still have the old stuff-but I can't imagine anyone wanting to restore it. Thinking about some blue tires (keeping the 700c on there) and blue bar wrap for it.
I love these forums-much info going on.
