the feeling of a new freewheel
threading on to a cheap hub as you ride it the first time. One of the many things about bicycles we don't get to experience very often any more.

i like to thread on a new freewheel and go for a hill run just to make sure its on good and tight

I live on a hill, and usually go downhill first. So I get to the bottom, turn around and pedal but don't go anywhere. I was surprised to feel the freewheel thread on to this bike, it was a Walmart beater someone forced me to assemble.
