help identify my fork

well not identify, cause i know its a murray, however ive never heard of murray as not a kmart brand. its got campy dropouts and very tight clearances. It is probably meant for 650 b/c i cannot bottom the axle out in the dropout and still clear the brake. or possibly it was not originally drilled for a brake. Any help out there? Thanks

whereas I do not have a murry stamped fork, I do have similar issues with regard to clearance on one of my frames... the "solution" was to use at most a 23c tire, non-gatorskin-esque... running gran compe open tubulars provides pleny of room.

Far from an expert, but I would suspect this may be a track fork or it was designed only for tubular tires, clinchers that size are too big. What brake is that?

the tire is a rubino pro 700x23, the brake is an old suntour. it works fine as is, i have several hundred miles on it, and the previous owner had many thousand on it, so im not worried about the safety of it. That being said a smaller tubular would probably be ideal (not exactly for city streets though!)

that's just a little silly. I'm sure it was made for 700c tubular tires, but having that little clearance makes no sense. A lot of the really light tubular tires back in the day were not particularly low profile. Narrow, but not low profile.

Could that fork be for one of the Serotta made, Murray branded, 1984 track bikes? Do I read Campagnolo on the dropout?

That's what I'm thinking. It looks like round blades, which are seldom used on anything but track forks.
