@Rapidray, were going up to Atlanta, on Friday, to see our daughter, we plan on riding next Saturday, on the Silver Comet. Looks like it will be a great time and place. Weather permitting, of course.

Chordia Bicycles
Back in 1971, I bought my first 10 speed racing bicycle at the age of 16. It was a Chordia that looked exactly like the 1968 that you restored. I bought it brand new where I had just started a new after school job, a US retail chain known as Ame's Department Stores. Mine was white and came with red "rubber band" tires (actually the reason I bought it because I thought the red tires looked awesome). Mine also had the very same emblem on the seat tube that is shown in your "before" photo. After riding it for several years, I stripped the frame and painted it yellow. Before I painted it, I masked off the seat tube emblem in order to keep the bike's brand identification intact. Well, I had kept that old bike all of these years with intentions of restoring it one day, but in 2007, it perished in a barn fire. I have tried to find more information online about Chordia bicycles, but information seems to be non-existent. I seem to remember that my Chordia was made in Italy, but other than that, I am clueless. It was a great bike, and I have lots of wonderful memories associated with it. Anyway, if you know anything about the history of Chordia bicycles, I would truly love to know more about their history, even though my Chordia is now gone.
Thanks!

How often do we update?
DrilliumDude (Mr Expert In-Motion Photograher) shot this today.
With only slight apologies for this rig not being truly vintage, classic for me.
(Actually, i'm beginning to feel some growths on my back)

Who really knows what tomorrow brings....
Maybe new direction for my soul & things...
180 out from my current strain...
Ain't no reverse on this steamin train...
Just keep on rollin & ignor the pains...
We'll finally get there and enjoy the gains...

Normal cycling wear for me consists of baggy shorts and a wool jersey, but I broke out the lycra for RAIN this year.

A serious look on my face as we line up for this years 2016 Tour de Norfolk, around a thousand riders. Great riding and a great day! Rode my steel 2014 Salsa Vaya "adventure" bike this year.

This was during a Mtb ride with some friends. I'm in the middle on the Giant Anthem X. I'm glad to be riding at 58 years old

The shoes are Shimano SH-UT70 commuter/touring shoes made for SPD pedals. I use them with no cleats. They were a closeout at Nashbar about 2 years ago & I believe they're discontinued. I've still got a pair of Adidas Eddy Merckx shoes with slotted cleats but wanted something walk-able in case I needed to walk any of the climbs (had to walk a bit in 2015, rode all the climbs this year, both years on the 65 mile routes).

Here's my most recent "selfie" headshot ---
A long time ago I was a government servant -- I'm the big guy on the right
Now, riding a chairlift to another mountain bike adventure
Probably the closest to a C&V "Action shot" I have-- at the ripe 'ol age of 29 I decided to give BMX a try -- so I borrowed a 1984 Mongoose California from a co-workers attic and went racing , participating in 2 nationals and the ABA Grand national championships on the little bike -- that was in the year 2000 -- the bike was so off the back from a size and geometry perspective that I just decided to have fun and go full on period correct with the helmet, mouthguard, JT gear, and iron on personalized jersey
About to hit the jump line at our local trail system not too long ago --- sadly , not many people are that interested in the things I am, so I am usually riding solo, --- even so, it would feel weird for me to ask a buddy to snap a pic while I try to sky shot some sweet jumps
