Torelli Nitro Express
Cross posting from the appraisals forum because they're so many more people here! Hope no one minds.
A bit too late because I've already bought the thing but I'd still be interested in people's thoughts.
I was looking for a newish, classic, good quality steel frame (preferably lugged) and thought this fit the brief pretty well.

Thanks.

I like Torelli's. I wish I would've been rich when Bike Central had this deal going on where some Italian guy was in town (can't recall if he was from Torelli or Mondonico, sorry I'm old), and would take your measurements, ask what you wanted in a bike, etc. take that back to Italy, make your frame and ship it to Portland for not much more than an off-the-rack frame.

I think that is a pretty good deal! You would be hard pressed to find a better bike for that kind of dough. Modern steel bikes are comparatively rare, usually boutique deals these days. Some of the parts look to be takeoffs from a high-end Specialized Tarmac or Roubaix. The wheelset, for instance, may have cost as much as you paid for the whole bike. I don't think a comparable bike could be built for what you paid, or maybe even twice that. Congrats, and I hope to see you around!
