Showoff! :D You will probably love that frame, though. I like my Op. III a lot, and yours, is one better!

I came across this in early Sept. unfortunatly I think it is closer to a 56 than the 58 it was susposed to be so it may go one the block. very sexxy Shogun though, Tange Infinity tubes and light action SIS and SLR

Steve Bauer or not, the OP's bike is one gorgeous and functional piece of machinery and art.
Showoff! :D Here is mine, but the pics aren't current: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_w4APNEt0JOc/TJ...w/IMG_0795.JPG I now have different bottle cages, Apex brakes, and uh, something else... You will probably love that frame, though. I like my Op. III a lot, and yours, is one better! That seat post is worth a mint on Ebay. Selling it, might pay for the whole frame. A lot of guys use it to correct difficult fit problems. Those stems are expensive too. |
1986 Centurion Facet. Aluminum. I've made a couple of changes.....Hercules in the back, on deck...

My most recent is this late 90's Vicious Cycles Metal Guru.
I've got the frame stripped down of all parts except the headset, tastefully spray bombed in the original color scheme (a PC is in it's future if I turn out to like the bike), and now am ready to reassemble into a townie using a donor parts bike. I will be posting in the Before/After thread very soon. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...s/IMG_8339.jpg I am on the road and do not have pic capability til Turkey day......aweek ago I bought a Peugeot that I suspect is a PX10, Stronglight cranks, integrated hanger, Normandy hubs, 531 decal towards the top of the down tube................... |
Might as well showoff my Gitane , not as nice as khatfull's beautiful Fuji Opus, but it is my keeper now.

Mine's not beautiful yet...long way to go with it...but I have high hopes :) |
I got this Schwinn Voyageur 11.8 ten days ago from a CL seller:
http://i525.photobucket.com/albums/c...vidw56/055.jpg I'm slow taking photos, though -- my MOST recent acquisition was acquired today, a Miyata 310. I'll post that in a day or two. |

And that's DA7700, 9-speed downtube shifters, not brifters. :) :thumb:
If I were you, I wait and nab a set of new Ultegra (5700) brifters and a 10s cassette. You can use everything else you already have. Maybe change the FD for optimal shifting, but you know... |
My 81 Trek 510 from last Friday:
Started with this (but not these wheels): http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/IMGP3933.jpg To this by Sunday afternoon: just need some bar tape to finish it off. Got some Look pedals coming from Rat Fink http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/IMGP3963.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/IMGP3965.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/IMGP3966.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...0/IMGP3973.jpg |
Okay, I'll play along. Though, this is really pushing what is and isn't C&V :) But hey, it's steel, so maybe it can be here.
http://collinsacks.smugmug.com/photo...11_ne8iD-L.jpg And the lovely groupset it came with: http://collinsacks.smugmug.com/photo...75_79Svx-L.jpg It's a custom Paul Taylor made from True Temper S3 steel. I bought it to steal the groupset, but fell in love with the bike after one ride. So, I'm still stealing the groupset and putting a Dura-Ace 7700 groupset onto it that I have. -Collin- |

my latest is this frame: http://cgi.ebay.com/2002-61cm-Marin-...item1c16240c70
2002 61cm Marin Treviso Frame Dedacciai 16.5 OEM steel though it has some tiny dents in the DT and one of the barrel adjusted was knocks off by the blaster and brazed back on by an amateur very crooked with a hideous blob, not that noticeable and I plan to ride it a lot so I will live, of course I wasn't aware of the defects when I purchased it, but it shouldn't affect the ride and the ride of high performance steel is what I am after. |

A Bringheli frame jig and an alignment table, both shipped FedEx ground today. I'll take some photos when they get here, but the jig is identical to this one.
