they stop pretty goood but I was never a big fan of them. Bianchi used Quattros on the Campione d Italia in '88/898/90..(as part of a Quattro group with Suntour and Ofmega) as I say they were OK stoppers but a bit finicky to set up. depending on how high the auction goes some Tektros might be a better deal
PS if these are NOS I would consider the cost of replacing the pads when bidding on them.

I think they are mid to late 80's mid level calipers. They came after the more traditional (say older) looking/designed brkaesets like the Speedy and Equipe, with deeper brake arm profiles. The design for the Quattro had general traits shared through that next generation model line that includes the one they re-labeled and sold for Mavic as second gen Mavic SSC brakes. I have a pair of those Mavic SSCs not mounted on a bike yet, but they do seem to be very solid/stiffer designed brakes (compared to the Modolo's first generation design) with smooth pivot action and nice, compact quick release mechanisms. Only thing that does not sit too well with many cyclists on many Modolo brakesets is the "sintered" brake shoes feature. Supposed to be more effective in the wet, but very harsh to rim braking surfaces. Because of this, you might consider changing out the brake pades to something like Kool Stops if you get the Quattro as many had with other Modolo brakesets with the "sintered" through the years.
