Bikes: 70 ERA RALEIGH RECORD

raleigh serial number

Can anyone help me identify the year of make of my raleigh record. My guess is 1970-73. The serial number is "AM 08347". Does anyone know what the "A" is for. My bicycle has a made in Ireland decal. In one chart that i looked at the the letter that represents Ireland is "D". "M" I think stands for the month of September.

Please do post photos - of the whole bike and the Ireland location-of-manufacture decal. Photos will give a better idea of what convention the serial is from.

that is the only number stamped on the bike (left dropout). I looked at several number charts and i was confused. The First letter in the serial number "A" is not consistent with the information and descriptions on the charts.
