Think about it. While every other forum is lamenting that their precious 2010 carbon roadie or Fox Forked MTB are now one year old, we are all saying 'YES" because our Centurion (or Raleigh or Trek or Nishiki or Schwinn and so on) are now another year older.
I love it.
Happy New Year to all C&Vers.

And those same carbon bikes are depreciating in value (25%plus in the first year?), as these old steel beasts are inching up.

I notice he said Centurion before Nishiki.
For Al, that is a huge Fruedian slip.

Happy New Year, Al.
I had the priviledge of the oldest bike today, 7 years older than the youngest rider.

I have, but I can't wait until 2012 because either...

1) The Mayans had it right and none of this will matter in 12 months anyway...or
2) The bike I'm working on right now will be 40 and the thought of having a 40 year old bike is too cool!

It is even better when you have a bike that is older than the rider.

Have you unveiled your newest bike yet?

Ha, this is truth. I tried selling my carbon bike last year and got horrible low ball offers, mainly because it was a few years old. Now I probably couldn't get half of what I paid for it used. Good thing I enjoy riding it!

Well, unfortunately, the engine is a year older, too.

I have not. I want to get all the pieces in hand and then I'll do a build thread. Have pics of the whole thing
