I wouldn't worry too much about the Frankenbikes, unless we start running 1%er cyclists. The component bit has only been used as an excuse for arresting 1%ers. Besides, lets see each local government come up with a complete set of catalogs going back to, at least 1965, for each brand so as to prove what is the correct components.

I also look forward to seeing The Law busting 10 year olds on their Next BMXers for unlicensed bikes.
