Classiest looking trike I've ever seen

If only money was unlimited (and storage) and its just my size...But i would much prefer one that was my wife's size.

"Handlebar bag?" "No problem."

I agree this is very nice. I would love a racing trike or a trike kit for the Hetchins would be cool

I am really suprised no one like Trek or specialized tried an upscale adult trike for people with disabilities that can't use a regular two wheeler

I know the old saying goes, if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all, but, I gotta say it... That is one seriously ugly machine.

I also saw it on eBay and came close to posting with the title, "Ugliest looking bike I've ever seen".

No offense to anyone with my comments, but I just can't see the draw to a bike like this.

Bikes: everywhere

The downtube seems like it might be superfluous in this design.

I can appreciate the quality of the machine, but the aesthetics leave me flat. It just looks unbalanced - visually and physically.
Taking a turn at even modest speed would probably be a hair raising (if not wheel raising) experience.

No thanks.

If I wanted to get a road going trike, I'd give the folks at ICE, Greenspeed, Catrike, or the like a call.

All them headsets, right! I would love to ride one, if only to feel how it corners... That particular frame design has been employed for over century, and was often referred to as a Cripper. Jack Taylor produced around 17 of these frames as their Kendrick model, and they were proposed as a cycling solution for disabled veterans after them Wars. I've enclosed a few photos of the range & variability of the Taylor brothers' tricycle handiwork. The tandem trikes are especially interesting, as their brakes and frames were quite creatively reinforced.

Pardon my ignorance, but what type of disability would necessitate such a design? Is is more just for a cyclist who has grown somewhat feeble or can no longer balance a two wheeler?

I'd love to take it for a spin as well. It looks dangerous, and I'm into that!

There are all sorts of age-related degenerative muscular disorders that are improved through low-impact exercise. Cycling is the perfect activity for such people, but often their balance and muscle control is not top-knotch. A trike would be the perfect thing for such people. I don't know the medical name for such disorders, but my grandmother had such a condition.

Well, a tadpole design is less tippy than the usual "delta" configuration. And if you're going to have two wheels in the front, you've got to have Ackerman compensation--thus the complex tie-rod system.

But if you don't want tippy, what are you doing way up there in the air?

That's strange and I bet it cost a fortune to build. Not that those aren't good qualities.

I love it.

I believe two wheels in front is a more easily handled setup than two in the back.

And tricycles aren't just for cargo or disabled riders. The bike we're looking at is for an enthusiast. Some in Europe ride them just to be different and have no special needs.

And you can ride a trike at .01MPH with no effort. Try that with a 2-wheeler. Life sucks at ultra-slow speeds on most 2-wheeled bikes.

Riding downhill on that would be interesting, not to mention getting it to the top to begin with.

My mom lost a leg in a car accident. I'll never forget her riding her tricycle with the giant basket around the neighborhood in a blue long sleeved leotard. She never did get to ride it much and I have no idea what happened to it, but it did make her happy.

I don't care what you think I love and would love to have one either two in the front or two in the rear.

Bikes: many

It needs a Holdsworth Trike conversion.
I guess then it would be a quadracycle.
or a pedal-car
