I was surprized to here Raymond Poulidors name mentioned in the film. Wow, just googled Raymond Poulidor. He was 40 years old in this race and I believe the last year of his career. Amazing, and he never wore the Yellow Jersey. Finished 3rd in his final tour of '76.
Wow, great to have that whole thing on YouTube.

i splurged and bought a copy on DVD. I take it with me when I travel. It cracks me up that about the only time you see BP Lejeune riders is when they are in trouble of some kind. Wonder if that was a harbinger of the year for them.
