Any tricks for polishing a rusty rear hub?

Usually am able to clean up rusty areas except for the hubs. How to get at them with spokes in the way? Have a nice little mixte I just picked up and so far that seems to be the only thing I might have a problem with.

small brass wire brush. Buy several, they only last a short while.
