Don't be a jerk!
I found some the reader comments as funny as the ads themselves!

Paulina Porizkova?? I haven't heard that name since she did that movie with Tom Skerrit. it looks like a goofy movie and most Peds around here jaywalk anyway

NYC must be a pretty tough place to ride a bike.

Bikes: Upright and Recumbent....too many to list, mostly Vintage.
I love these ads. Seen em a few times on TV. The local news kinda tried to make a stink about them calling people "Jerks"...as if its a harsh term
gimmie a break. "Jerk" is as toned down as they could make it and still have the censors on board. I call em worse than that.
I think its cool to see Batali and whats-his-name on bikes
Its better than ever. Lower Manhattan is a lot of fun.

Having ridden in NYC recently, it's the pedestrians who need the don't be a jerk campaign (as pointed out by many of the comments).

Did you ever hear of that organization Car-Free New York? Sounds like a great concept.
