Just got home picked up my second bridgestone today I think it is a 76? super speed I got it for 45$ which I think is a steel! Everything works good just need to adjust the brakes and maybe replace the hubs because there is a bit of movement there other then that I plan on using this around town and keeping my 700 for longer rides like going to work while I save up for a used group of 105 and taking the old components from the 700 on the SS.

He also had a bridgestone 90 and it looked like another 150 bikes I will be going back to this guys house sometime soon to look for more bikes

We've got some eye candy at work to gaze at. We used to be a BS dealer back in the day but now just Trek, C'dale, Scott and Norco. Line up from left to right -MB Zip, XO1, RB1, 600 series, 700 series, 1977 Trek. Treks all have 531 tubing and some have 531 CS. Finally something to look at besides plastic and aluminum bikes all day.

I inherited a couple Bridgestone bikes when a family member passed away.

The Radac is a really light bike, but I just could never get it to fit me. It's a short frame, and a long stem helped me stretch out but it didn't feel stable. (Please ignore the saddle position; that seatpost wouldn't grip the rails and it kept moving on me. First thing I replaced.)



The MB-1 was all original when I started riding it. The paint was worn in many places so I had it powdercoated about 4 years ago. It has become a heavy-duty commuter.

I'm thinking of saying goodbye and selling my MB-2 (seen at the beginning of this thread) but have no idea where to advertise to an appreciative audience. It's hardly been ridden since being overhauled. I'd appreciate suggestions of where to list or just email or PM if interested.

Bridgestone aquired from original owner. The owner had wheelset, post and saddle stolen after maiden voyage and purchased a different bike, it was left unridden since. The paint looks new, with a few nics.









Does anyone know the seatpost size? 26.8 seems a smidge to small and 27.2 to big. I assume 27.0, however would like to confirm before i purchase one.

Thanks Kobe. I actually had to sell an Orange Colnago and 2 other bikes to afford the Bridgestone and my recent Zunow purchase. I had no plans for another bike, however the condition and size of the MB made the choice easy. I have a NOS set of Bontrager Mustang rims with XT hubs that I plan on using unless someone has a set of Araya RM's they want to part with.

MB1 Kenobi

I have a thing for the MB1's. This one is a 19" 1990 built as a commuter with a xo1 theme. Diacompe 986's, shimano 105 w/ ultegra bar end shifters, shimano 600 crank, Sakae Tall Cool One "Super Hard Anodized" seatpost, "Super Hard Anodized" Araya rm20's with xt front and xc9000 rear freehub, moustache bar with fabric tape and shellac. It now has modern pedals & fenders.

Uh.. here is a recent purchase. A scrap dealer had possession of it for a while. I gave it a rusty schwinn saddle and post, which need to be replaced. Otherwise it's mostly original.

Bridgestone Diamond Road, purchased in Germany. This is as I bought it. Trying to place it, it's pre 1990's> The handlebars were on it from new - but can't find it any catalogues. It's a nice ride, but the frame seems like very small for a large frame. (580 top tube, 1050 wheel base).

I've owned my share of Bridgestones over the years. I worked in a shop in the early 90s and I fell in love with the bikes. I sold a '92 XO-1 a few years back and I gave my brother a RB-2. I still own and ride regularly, a '92 BB-1, a '93 RB-1, and a '93 XO-2. The XO-2 is just a great all rounder, the RB-1 is a classic road bike and the BB-1 makes a great utility bike (currently shod with studded tires for the winter). I've completely rebuilt all three of the bikes.

brake calipers and levers are tri color and the wheels are tri color/mavic ma40
I was going to put full tri color on it but ive decided to make this more of a commuter
I have a sugino triple crank im coing to add and probably add some north road style bars and thumb shifters to it
as it is its the smoothest ride ive ever had. the 600 tri color hubs spin like butter

This piece of trash turned out to be a gem underneath all the black spraypaint. A 1994 XO4. The last year the XO's were produced and I read somewhere only around a thousand of these were made. Produced in Taiwan the XO4's sported 700c tires and arched handle bars. Since this picture I repainted this one brown and replaced both wheels. Still looking for some arched bars though and grip shifters, but considering maybe some drop bars and friction stem shifters. Right now it's just another project in limbo. thinking I'll just sell the frame.

I picked up an MB6 a few years ago. Bottom of the totem pole, but a surprisingly nice bike. When I sold it, the one guy who knew bikes kept telling the purchaser "shut up about the paint, just buy it".

Couple of RB-1's passed through The Lab this year on their way to new owners:

A 93, that I picked up as a bare frame several years ago. Took a couple of years to find all of the tricolor bits in the right condition. Love the biplane fork crown.


An 88 that was purchased whole from the second owner in very good overall condition, but the real gem was the almost-perfect frame. It made a great basis for a lovely 10 speed Ultegra 6600 group build with custom wheelset.
