Dia Compe 500g replacement pads
I just bought a 1983 Trek 600 and the brake pads are dried out and need replacement. I plan on getting the kool stops but was wondering if getting something like the Dura Holder kit would be better/work compared to the continentals? They also look nicer.....the nuovo record replacements look like they may fit in the preexisting holders.
Thanks for the help in advance

You'll have to slightly widen the slot in the Dia Compes to fit the Kool Stop or VO Dura Ace type holders. I had to do this with some 500s. They now allow for perfect toe-in and hush-hush braking. I sold this to a 225lb friend. He's using aero levers and the braking is everything he needs.
