I found myself a nice older Cannondale on Craigslist in my size (63cm) and am having trouble identifying it's model. Cross-referencing its serial numbers with info from vintagecannondale.com says it's a bike from March 1995, yet none of the make-ups from the catalog look like this bike. I also find it odd that it has no model decal on it. I will try to load a picture tomorrow, but for now it is red frame, with yellow Cannondale lettering up the down tube, Shimano 600 component group, 8 speed with double crank, and 600 STI shifters.

If anyone is a Cannondale guru and may know what I have, it would be greatly appreciated.

zsmithku, Most likely it's a 2.8 road frame. No 'R' number can designate either a replacement frame or an unequipped frameset.
