Hi All.
Having a heck of a time trying to identify which Pinarello frame this is.
Yes I know I shouldn't have painted it !!
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

what do you want to know about it?
what is 'racer sportif'? something you came up with or was it part of there a similar decal on the original paint job?
the only way to try and pinpoint the model would be a serial number at this point (post repaint).

Racer sportif is a bike store here in Toronto, they built and painted it.
The original paint was sky blue.. can't find the serial number anywhere.. but I'll look again.
If I find it where how do I translate that SN: to a model number.. is there a website or something for reference??
thanks

To my eyes it appears to be an early '80's Italia model. I have one from '82 and the workmanship wasn't quite what the higher end models were.
Mine came with a Campagnolo GS/NR mix, and had quite a bit of pantographing. Paid ~$830 for it then if memory serves.

You mean this bike: https://webcache.googleusercontent.co...www.google.com
'81-'82 Treviso or Italia. What is the tubing? SL or Tre Tubi? Was there any chrome on the frame? Do you still have the headbadge?

That looks to be an early '90's bike.
Mine is still all original, Tretubi, less the seatpost binder bolt, which got lost some time ago and replaced with a similar part. Only chrome is on the fork crown, and it's peeling and a bit rusty.
