I never but their "kit". I always get derailleur or brake housing only, usually 25 -50' orders. I have recently found the SRAM Derailleur cable, and it's extremely smooth and works fantastic with lined housing.

But their Racer kit cable requires (and comes with) their POP (point of pressure) cable ENDS that you'll need to purchase separately as well if you go w/bulk cable buys.

I am reading this right? you order 25-50 kits at a time? perhaps I have not had enough coffee but I am missing something.

Yeah it is the racer DIY kit.
So I took the kit from my trash...and the brake cable housing is one piece measuring 1700mm in total including the extensions, and after a quick mock setup it either looks like there is absolutely zero room for error, or I'm out of housing by at least several centimetres if I try to use the remaining available for the front brake. It's very hard to tell...I would do it just for the hell of it to post the results here, but nothing that comes with this kit seems to work well with my setup. Either way it's not looking good, and immediately my thought was that I purchased something for a modern bike with exposed cables, and I was right.
I'm going to see if I can find my old cables to salvage the old end caps and use those instead...

when I saw your post I realized just what I was reading, but I thought I would leave my post as it was to get a rise out of some of the folks here.
I am not sure just which 'kit' I am buying but I don't think I've had the kevlar. again I never noticed and length issues with my bikes. yes fitting the end ferrules to some brakes can be tricky but workable. I think someone nade a reference to the ferrule sticking out of the hood? I don't mind that too much especailly if it helps keeping the cable from flopping over.
I just which Jagwire or someone made more and better colors, and like the old Clarks cables ran a colored plastic coating along the length of the shifter cables
