Ti Raleigh Competition Headset and seatpost dimensions

Hello,

I searched all over the internet for those dimensions, and I came out with almost nothing.
The frame is a Reynolds 531, and so I'm looking for the dimensions of the seat post and the headset, because I want to change them.
Anyone knows about those? Or can point me out to a catalogue that mentions them?
The seat post diameter seems like a 27mm, but I'm not sure. It's an SR Laprade, fluted.

Thanks!

Post some pictures and if you know the year of the bike it will help.

Unfortunately, these are the only photos I have for now.
The year is 1980-1984, not really sure, I should check out the serial number when I go back home.

The seat post should be marked with the size. If not, have it measured. Also any english head set will work as long as the stack height matches what you have now.

The seat post is not marked. I tried measuring it with a ruler, it's about 27mm, but I can't say it's precise. There are 26, 26.6, 27 and 27.2 seat posts out there.
Would a -let's say- 26mm seat post fit in a 27mm post?

Nope. Gotta be exact. You run the risk of damaging your frame otherwise. However, shims are available, but you still need to know the seatpost size your frame was designed for.

...and in a 531db frame it's most likely a 27.2. "MOST LIKELY" being the operative phrase.

Uh, no. There are (at least) two different english-thread standards: JIS and ISO(?). Cup diameters are pretty much the same, but the crown race on JIS is 27.0mm, and ISO(?) is 26.4. On a Ti Raleigh, it's almost certainly ISO. JIS was only common on low to middle range Japanese bikes.

Bingo, sir.

In case anyone in the future -like me- was trying to find these dimensions, well I got it:
-Seatpost: 27.2mm
-Headset : 30.2 - 26.4 (threads are standard ISO 1" x 24 tpi)

Thanks everyone for their help, now I gotta go convert a TI Raleigh into full Campy

But Raleigh did build road frames for the French market with French threaded BB and headset - without measuring precisely you will not know for certain...
