Thank you Jim. Pictured are The dunes that seperate my fair city from the north sea, between the hague and Leiden. Would you believe this is just a few hundred meters away from one of the densest agglomerations in the western world?

Just some small lips to keep the water out the climbs are short and shallow, nothing more than 500 m at an easy grade, cutting the easy edge of the dune. There are some longer and worse climbs in Limburg, the southernmost province, but people talk weird there so nobody considers them especially dutch

I kinda just find them since I know what they look like! Here's another just down the road. This example was probably set by the same surveyor back in 1905. TD (Tracy Dows) was an important landowner (lots of $$) at the turn of the century:
