Unfortunately I don't get to commute on my bike anymore, my job requires a truckload of tools and travelling around all day, so my 'everyday' riding is weekends with my wife and daughter.
A quick trip on my Raleigh Superbe to a local park for lunch today: http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=368087 |
It hit 50° today in Chicago and I finally got a chance to take out my new bike.

WNG, nice pics!
Rhetorical question: Where do the Diamondbacks go for spring training? Wisconsin? Mexico? Florida? |

Closer to home, Apex Park, Hawthorndene. Funnily enough, we rode along the Torrens the day before, to Bonython Park. In fact, My (almost) 2 year old and I went for 4 rides this weekend, she enjoyed most of it.

It's a great path to ride with kids. I live just over an hour north of the city from there and use to drive in and ride before my back op but I used to ride it like a race course then ride along the coast.
I've been getting a bit silly with the Raleigh Superbe when solo, looking forward to getting my Healing 'path racer' project rolling when I find a headset. The Superbe really isn't suite to spirited riding on the dirt. |

Not my bike, but JJScaliger's on a ride last November. It went Bang! before the ride was over.

This what I woke up to this morning:
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Y...0/DSC_0098.JPG Not really great for riding in. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-u...0/DSC_0079.JPG |
I had to revamp the stoker drive setup on our tandem. My son's growing at a pretty good clip these days, and we've had to raise the seat a lot since last fall. The issue with the kid stoker kit, it has a 42 tooth ring while the stoker crank has a 36. In the past I had the kid kit raised high as to keep the crank arms from bangin each other. Well I finally got around to putting a 42t ring on the stoker(so I could lower the kid cranks, and the saddle height as well).
Hopefully in another year, He'll be tall enough so we can 86 the kid crank. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...0045_845-1.jpg |

^ What a thoughtful, and enabling sister!

those tire "bubbles" are blows, where air is trapped inside between the cords in the curing process. Return to manufacturer, thats a warrantable issue.
