Yep - flying back to Chicago tomorrow. Temps were single digit, with below zero wind chills when I left.

-holiday76, great pictures of Kentucky. Very lucky you were able to make the trip. I'd love to visit that part of the country one day. I really miss Justin, but I'm happy for him that he's engrossed in his passion.

Looks like the Colonel's is a must try:

Missing a bike rack out front! Almost every grill/cafe/brewery around here opens with a bike rack here in the Park.

Good eye.

They only made the Briarwood for a few years... finding one in relatively clean and unmolested condition was a bit of work and a lucky find on our part.

Just got the winter boots put on.

This is awesome. What a great trip - bikes and bourbon in Kentucky! Kentucky is a very beautiful state.

nice! I've had a Jeep for years. I don't drive it much any more but it's the best car I've had.

Chicken Thanksgiving. Because it would be weird to give them turkey.

The beauty of the northern Oregon coast has turned me on my head! (Not sure why the last one is in the wrong orientation - Oh! I didn't have a V-8!)

This hearkens back to when vehicles had wood panels on the side... either as part of their structure or later, for styling purposes.

Jeep applied this to the Grand Wagoneer for decades and it denoted a higher level of trim and accessories and when the XJ (Cherokee) was introduced they built the Briarwood model which was the top of the line luxury version with every available option.... they are fairly rare.

Find a nice Grand Wagoneer and you might pay more for it now than you did then... they have developed quite a following and production in their last year was pretty limited which limits how many are out there.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...agoneer_V8.jpg

Chrysler is also looking to relaunch the Grand Wagoneer as a competitor to the Escalade.

Up here you can't swing a cat without hitting a Jeep, understandably they are a very popular vehicle that is well suited for our climate.

My neighbour still drives an AMC Eagle Woody that he purchased new in '87... it scoffs at winter too.
