Love that "textured" little bobs and bits of urban history. I'd like to see manhattan one day. Wonder how it compares to the stack of novels and hours of film I've seen about the place :)
I'd be very interested in knowing how close or far it comes to your expectations. Most people who visit have a great time. |

I'm getting a white sheet to hang on the flag pole. I dunno if it will do any good... |

Come stay with us! I'd love to show you around. In fact, another BF member and I are going to start running bike tours of the city.

For the record... there are a couple other nice shops in the area. I can help but wonder if Pete could be any relation the DiSalvo restaurant more or less just around the corner. |
It wasn't much of a bike picture but seemed to improved with a PS filter applied. This is under the Aurora Bridge on the Burke Gilman for you Seattleites. Hope you like it.

My 94 Rockhopper Comp FS after I just put the fork back together after a rebuild. They actually hold air now!

Our new shop supervisor Polly... she showed up as a stray and we will try not to set this one on fire. The old shop cat always had a little bit of singed fur as she was always underfoot and it is pretty hard to stomp out a burning cat.
;) Polydactyl cats are also considered to be good luck and this is how she got her name... she has some big boots on her. http://www.ravingbikefiend.com/critterpics/polly1.jpg |

Bike isn't C or V, but the scenery is very classic. So Cal high desert after decent rain. Doesn't last long, but it has been spectacular.

I'm holding off on the cycling for now until I see how my issues improve (or not). I've felt very near to giving up riding recently (physical issues).
Since I can't give up walking, I've been hiking with lots of altitude gain in the past couple weeks. These were taken on the Mountain Loop Highway yesterday - 6 hours and 10 miles of hiking. Yeah, I'm pretty beat today! https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7643/...b433c00e_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7638/...6d9d06c1_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7596/...aafc88d3_b.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7588/...29d80487_b.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8733/...4d8cccd5_b.jpg Rainy and snowy and I should've been miserable, but no. Maybe on a bike, but hiking in crappy weather is a completely different animal; at least it is for me. DD |
The return of the Blue sky's, brings the return of the Blue Bike. :)

Took advantage of being off for holiday and went to the recently opened Ed Paschke art center/museum.
They have a nice collection of Ed's work and a recreation of his studio. Recommended if you're visiting Chicago. |
