I don’t always make raviolis at work, but when I do, I often build bikes in my mind.

Today it was a Columbus SL tubed Benotto dressed in full Campy Super Record, and a splash of Cinelli.

We’ve had a good stretch of nice weather this week. Been riding most days and frankly, was getting a little tired of the local routes so today I decided to hike Mailbox Peak instead. A short drive from my house to the trailhead and strenuous 2 hours of effort give you this view looking west of my town of North Bend bracketed between Rattlesnake Mt. in the center of the picture and Mt Si on the right.

There is a mailbox on the rocky peak filled by hikers with all sorts things. It’s interesting to view whats been left behind. Right now there is a lot of halloween candy stuffed in there..

Hopefully one or both of these will go to a new owner today.
Trek 930 mtb, Kona H-onky Tonk roadish bike. (Apparently part of the Kona’s name triggers a bad word filter, probably why Kona renamed the model to just Tonk, almost makes it worth keeping just because of that)

A size or two too tall for me, but I can adjust to it if needed.

Nice one DQRider.

I also enjoy playing around with the photo effects on my phone especially on bike pics.

You and I may be the only ones. Maybe?

I've posted a few in the past and no response.

Cool one Jim. Reminds me of an old post card.

The sketch type effects are cool also.

I don't think I've posted these here before. These are two of my favorite B&Ws, both taken on the same ride, heading west towards Saint Paul.

That one actually looks pretty good in color, as well.

I'm only posting these oldies because the weather has been too crappy to ride here. Just like last winter. Yuch. :notamused:

I call this avant-garde piece, "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?".

Wow. I would love to know the story of this tree. Was it manipulated during its growth, or did something crazy happen to it by chance? It almost looks like it could come to life. As in, "I am Groot!"?

Close call on PCH. The crane was operating with the cab swinging over the temporary bike path. Actually as close as it looks. Sorry for the poor quality - GoPro screen grab.

Yeah, my LBS owner owns one of those. It looks very impressive on display. But I've only seen him riding it once. I actually test-rode a Surly Moon Lander a couple years ago, but I just couldn't justify the expense for a bike I wouldn't ride very often. They sure look cool though, don't they?

Well, it is alive, since it is a live tree. The location is Lincoln Center, Lincoln, MA, if you want to do some Internet research. IIRC, I did once. I found some documents from the town offices, like from the Parks Department or something, about taking care of it. IIRC, its origin is unknown. It may be several trees growing together.
