There is an abandoned house near my apartment building (its Seattle and won't be abandoned long kind of a tragic story but I digress) and I am walking from my local coffee shop to my car and pass by it and my vintage bike radar starts pinging. And I look over and there in the overgrown back yard in amongst the 3 abandoned cars is an old Fuji Dynamic 10. So of course I have to go take a look. I am sure its got at least one stuck part, appears to have been out in the weather for a while although I have never noticed it and go past this place regularly.
I need another project like I need another hole in my head and its a basket case, an entry level basket case, and I spent the spring getting rid of projects I would never finish And I have a project I really want to start...and yet I will probably check to see if its still there when I get home this evening...sigh https://farm1.staticflickr.com/855/4...ef249819_k.jpg Abandoned Fuji by Ryan Surface, on Flickr |

Flew into London this morning for vacation (holiday) until the 10th. Looking forward to seeing some C&V bikes around the city.
Staying in a skinny flat in the Hammersmith/South Kensington area that, unfortunately, has the tube trains from the Baron's Court station literally running within feet of the building. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1792/...2e60e068_b.jpg Had to explore the Margravine Cemetery across the street because I find old cemeteries cool. My family thinks I'm weird. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/930/4...4cf086dc_b.jpg |

Stumbled across the start of the 2018 Gumball 3000 Rally today - the race is London to Tokyo. Pretty fun thing to see in the middle of downtown London

While my collarbone mends, no biking but I can still use my legs. A 30 minute drive to the pass and maybe a 6 mile hike to snow lake near Alpental: https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1811/...53744b9e_c.jpg SnowLake by NBend, on Flickr |

My Son Sean is Visiting...
We rode the trails around Hastings, MN at sunset. I shot this photo of him at one of the scenic overlooks on the bluffs above the river.

Almost home! Santa Paula, California after a 30+ mile round trip to the coast. It has been very warm here and although I love living on a hill with panoramic views, the last few blocks are leg burners with 42 x 26 gears. |
A 7 year thread and still going strong. Whodathunkit?
