Love this thread too - no bike riding today (and probably tomorrow). My daughter is playing for the first time in a soccer tournament called Yak Attack. She's always had softball tournaments this weekend and couldn't participate. Unique format of 12 minute halves, 5 on 5 for players and free subs during play. So, I spent the day being photographer.

She is. She doesn't really want to but is the most consistent pitcher on the team so does it when called upon. Her ideal situation is to be told to go out to center field and run fly balls down.

I used to walk her right before bedtime, and now I have no reason to go outside at that moment. I used to take her to her favorite mud puddle upstate. Sometimes I still stop there while taking a walk.

My Little Graduate
My daughter Emily graduated from Academic Arts High School last night. In the crush of the crowd afterward, I looked around and spotted a perfect backdrop for photos in the nearby stairwell - and there was nobody else there!
While we made our way across the room, I told Emily, "Look up towards the light." - Trying for that aspirational pose. She said, "No Dad. That would be so lame!" Our "his and hers" Trek 820 Mountain Tracks, from aprx 1997. Small one came from the local bike co-op, project bike with lots of work needed (left crank arm had cracked, for starters). We happened to find its larger clone, same color, same gruppo, etc. on CL about a month later.
