I don't have any pics, and I'm probably GLAD I don't but went out for 20 on the Touring Series Thursday night and the *&%#$^*& NDS crank arm loosened again about 6 miles from home. Forgot the cell phone and the wife was busy anyway so I walked up hills and coasted down. Shifted down to the 50/13 so that I could get as much oomph out of it for the half crank I got out of it on the DS when starting.
Took a tad longer than I was planning for that 6 miles

What The Raleigh and I did today. Must rideblog it tomorrow...
Watched some racing at the Velodrome.

The organizer I talked to (hey, everyone likes The Raleigh) said if it hadn't been a race day, I could have run The Raleigh around the track. Uh... not sure about that. But I'm going to take the wee boy there next Friday to watch the big races, as he's decided he's going to do the Tour when he's grown-up. Guess we'd better start that blood-doping now...
And, let's see... I rode in a dress for the first time. No really. I felt like such a girly-girl dork. Lay in the grass and worked on using the manual settings for my camera, which I've just "discovered." This one makes me look a bit like I'm dying, but I look like I'm going to die happy.

Picture of my bench yesterday morning after finishing a quick rehab to a Roadmaster Cape Cod 3spd.

My dog doing her normal Bad Dog stuff yesterday, caught with my phone.

Stopped by the body shop to check on my Bronco yesterday afternoon, I had to give the manager a ear full since it's been there 7 weeks and it is looked like this for 4 weeks now with no change.

I drove 450km's each way to pickup this very rare Ricardo Pinnacle "my dream cycle"
This is a half hour after picking it up to camp along the Murray river for a night, needs a bit of work but its worth it I'm a very patriotic South Aussie and its made in South Aussie.

Great shot - I'll be there tonight to watch the races. Haven't been in quite a few years and really looking forward to it.

1971 Toyota Landcruiser. Not mine, Its my fathers. I was just using it while we painted the roof of my van and did some meck work on it. Never liked four wheeling, Probably cause I was a baby in the back of this thing when it was crawled around in the So Cal mountains. But it is nice to be the only rig in the valley that gets out in the snow. Lost the original six at 280K in the middle of the desert pulling a trailer on the interstate. IT has a 350, power steering(that needs replacing)and a tilt/telescope steering wheel out of an old caddy.

Hauling home a plant stand this morning that someone foolishly decided to throw away. I mean, at least take it over to the local thrift and donate it lol

So one day the Atlantic Ocean decided it needed to express itself by drawing a picture of a tree....

Here's a recent shot of my kids after taking them on our weekly grocery shopping routine. We stopped at a playground for a break on the way home. We load up the trailer with our groceries, and on this trip I think we had about five or six full bags in the trailer, as well as stuffed panniers. I keep a styrofoam cooler in the trailer for frozen items, it works very well and allows us to take our time getting home. The five year old rides the Burly trailercycle behind her mom, and the six year old rides the slightly modified Bike Friday tandem with me:

^ The cutest little cyclists! I love the one on the right inspecting the tandem. She's thinking, "I wonder if I should change these bars. Hmm."

Ha! Or, "How does he expect me to pedal efficiently with that ginormous Q factor? Why the hell can't he put that TA tandem crankset on there like I asked him to". The one on the left is saying "Here, I lowered the bars for you, tell me how this feels now".

I tweaked the derailleur hanger on my Gios yesterday, so I disassembled the bike and took the frame into the LBS for service this morning. The components will get a cleaning, and the frame, once returned, will get touched-up and waxed before getting back on the road this weekend.

I think I expected the best of both worlds, a super low gear for uphill climbs and big high 3rd gear for downhills, which of course isn't possible! But so far I'm getting used to the subtle improvement. Just a bit extra oomph in 1st and 2nd.
