It would feel sloshy.

No kidding. Before the poster considers this, he may want to google up "free surface effect". Depending on the geometry, it could flip the bike, cause him to lose control, etc.

Nice bike. I rebuilt that same bike for my son's campus bike.

As to your deal, I have no problem. That is the way cl works -- buyers and sellers set the rules within the scope of their economic power for commodities that are relatively unimportant, such as C&V bikes. That is pure free market, which should please the TeaPartiers among you. Also, that is why we have "regulations" when it comes to commodities that are necessary to life and business, like public utilities. The latter are not simple questions.

You make a good point. FWIW, I also sell a lot on ebay. Frequently, I get messages from other ebayers offering to buy my listing right now off the books. I never accept these for a couple of reasons. The first is that it complicates my life. But the second is that I do have a terms of service agreement w/Ebay that forbids this. Being in the software biz, I actually believe that this sort of thing is not pro forma BS (PFBS) and try to operate along it. CL is more or less a free market free for all and there I have no problem acting in accordance with that model.

You have a very clear understanding. As Obi Wan Kenobi concluded, "No more need be said. Move on."
