super-modernized De Reus frame with black delta's! the owner wanted to get more info on black delta's, so I thought I'd do him a favor and repost this from a dutch blog for italian bikes, and show you some nice bike pr0n. I really, really like this bike.

Bikes: 1 trek, serotta, rih, de Reus, Pogliaghi and finally a Zieleman! and got a DeRosa

I just sold my Reus, with matching jersey.

Funny thing is in it's last incarnation it had
full Croce d'Anune gruppo including deltas which
looked really good on that bike.

There's a cheap one with full dura ace online now. Damn my (for dutch standards) short legs.

It seems most people go for traditional looking wheel sets with those restomod builds, but this one tastefully doesn't.

You can do better than that one, looks like it might be build after
Jan de Reus died.
Mine was a 1990 bike and one of the last 'true' Jan de Reus.
The guy running the Reus Weilersport shop is very nice, helpful
with queries and dating older models.

The black delta's are probably Cd'A in graphite or even the elusive record in Century finish. Either way, I'm jealous!

See: https://www.campyonly.com/images/cata.../91century.jpg for '91 Century or https://www.campyonly.com/images/cata...91/91croce.jpg

for the graphite

My Reus is a post-Jan model ('95)...but...all I can say is that it rides VERY well.

I wouldn't avoid buying one at a good price!

The one shown, as well as the one on marktplaats, is from the same era as mine (now sporting Campy 10s + Nucleons since pic was taken):

Yes, 'John the Giant'

Another Reus:

70s model. There is also an 80s model in my stable and they both ride absolutely beautifully.
