I love the way that the color changes in the different lights. The color is Blue Jean with Golden Wiffle (Wiffle! Who comes up with these names?). This guy's going to be my future touring bike. Thinking maybe some creme Schwalbe Delta Cruisers and some maroon cloth bar tape will do this frame some good.
As you can see in the last picture, the idiot that owned the bike before me decided to saw off the cantilever bosses so they could use sidepulls. I guess it was rusted under the paint because now there's a small hole in my frame. It's like the previous owner tried to deliberately sabotage this great bike. I'm thinking of maybe putting a little superglue over it to seal it.

Looks really good! I never got a look at a Voyageur "undressed" as it were (does this make me a Voyageur voyeur?). Never knew these were so neatly constructed.
As for the tiny hole, I wonder if a little bit of epoxy or silicone caulk might seal it better. Superglue is strong, but brittle.

That's a good idea. I'll definitely look around the house for some epoxy or silicone caulk.

The Voyageur really is a great bike and rides beautifully. I should mention though that (obviously, in the first picture) the fork is from a different Schwinn, possibly a Le Tour. Hope that doesn't effect your Voyageur voyeurism.

Don't you just hate it when you recondition a frame and the parts are then 'outclassed'?

+1 to FlatTop's repair idea.

The seat stay is a bummer to me, enough to not worry about the parts. It won't fail, but it would not have been that hard to fix it before the color.
