What year???

I have a Schwinn Cruiser Deluxe serial # TYB96052607. Can anyone tell me when this bike was built?

From: Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada - burrrrr!

Bikes: 1958 Rabeneick 120D, 1968 Legnano Gran Premio, 196? Torpado Professional, 2000 Marinoni Piuma

Apply some of the information contained in How Old Is My Bike? and you should come pretty close to identifying the vintage.

Hope this is a help.

Thank you "randyjawa" I went to the site you suggested, however, there was no place to plug in my serial number. I have looked on the Schwinn build codes and they only go up to 82.

Try comparing the component numbers and see what you get. You will have to read through the page to understand how to do this.

That serial number is not a one used on a Chicago-built bike. Schwinn Cruisers were made all over the place (USA, China, Taiwan, Hungary). Post a picture and maybe someone here can ballpark the year by color and decals.
Do a search for Schwinn catalogs online. A few enthusiasts have catalog pages scanned and posted on their sites.
