Why have flippers not snagged them? I would buy one or both but I am good at hoarding, bad at flipping.

Those prices are getting close to non-flippable depending on your market. Cables, housings, tires/tubes maybe, all that adds up quick...leaves little profit for the time invested.

The Premis is very big too, may be a more limited market for it too.

I would have already bought the Ironman to keep in my stable if I hadn't promised myself not to buy anymore non-Italians until next year...

The IM would be good as a keeper, after you fix it up you don't want to sell it.

A this time of the year, those are pretty good prices for bikes that you might want to keep. However, they will sell faster, and for more money next spring.

Not flippable at those prices. Realize flippers have to pay well below market for it to make sense. The fact they are still available after a week? The market has spoken. End users tend to not want bikes that are projects.

Reasons:

1. The Premis is huge. Not Chicago made. Needs work.

2. The Ironman: key sentence: " Does have some rust". Needs full service. Then add this one: "rear brake and derailleur" need adjustment. That is going to scare away the average recreational rider. Electric tape on the end of the bars, shlocky.

3. Figure if you buy either one, you will be stuck with them until Spring.


Either bike at $100 become real good deals. At current prices, either is a deal as a keeper, depending on the extent of the rust.
