Thanks for all the great comments guys . I took both out for a ride today and they are smooth and fast . as for the price this is what the original owner said so who knows !!

Bikes: Early 1980's Ishiwata 022 steel sport/touring, 1986 Vitus 979, 1988 DiamondBack Apex, 1997 Softride PowerWing 700, 2001 Trek OCLV 110

My "blue" Vitus used to be the same color as that one and here is what it looks like today (after 25 years and ~150000 miles of riding).

Bikes: Primary ride now a LOOK 585-Love it.

Congrats on two gorgeous machines. Keep us posted as you ride them more.

I've spent the last two years looking for the light blue one...but the 48cm frames are few and far between. So, I picked a real nice purple one and have been assembling the parts for it for the last five months. Test ride and pics to follow soon.
